I founded The Pink Iguana in Tulum in the fall of 2005. I've been a language teacher since 1984. Over the years, I've enjoyed the blessing of collaborating at several public & private institutions in Mexico and Abroad including Universidad de Chiapas, La Salle School and the Education Bureau in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Mexico.

Born in Mexico City and raised between Toronto Canada and Chiapas Mexico, I am a native of both Spanish and English.

Currently, I teach SPANISH & ENGLISH out of my home/office in Tulum Pueblo, or at any location in the area at students' request.

Over the recent years in my career I've enjoyed the opportunity of setting up and designing various language programs based on my experience and my understanding of the needs of language students.

In 1992, I was lucky to expand a language school I founded in 1988 in Chiapas, to open "El Puente"; a language school that teaches English to locals and Spanish to students from the world around. Additionally, “El Puente” is also a cultural center that links the local cultures with visitors to Chiapas, Mexico.

In 2001, I handed El Puente's administration over to the local teachers as a cooperative.

I then became a free-lance instructor for national and international corporations and Mexican Government agencies based mainly in Mexico City.

Currently, I live in this Mexican Paradise doing what I love most, Teaching!

Recently, due the growing demand for our language services, old colleagues from Chiapas have joined me in this quest. Their extensive teaching experience, patience and great sense of humor are valuable aspects in guiding students through their Spanish learning goals.
