Diva loves to play "jumpy-jump" with me, Susy. She has taken to agility and really likes to compete. She was five years old on July 28, 2006. August 2002 was her first trial in Agility competition. She won both her Novice titles for Standard and Jumpers with Weaves during that first summer with many first place ribbons. We then moved up to the next level, Open, and made both her titles in 2 weekends. We continued to compete at the open level for the rest of summer and made first and second places or bombed out and made nothing. In December 2003 we entered the next highest level, Excellent A. We earned the AX and AXJ titles by January 2004 and immediately moved to the final and highest level in AKC Agility, Excellent B. Over the 4th of July holiday 2004, we earned both Excellent B Masters titles (MX and MXJ). Next came the hardest to achieve AKC Agility title, the MACH: Master Agility Champion. To achieve a MACH title (Master Agility Champion), the dog must compete in theExcellent B level and achieve a 100% perfect run to qualify. There are two runs per trial day and the team must have 20 perfect days, plus 750 speed points. A speed point is awarded for each full second under course time. Partial seconds do not count! On January 23, 2005 Diva and I earned our first MACH title! We made our second MACH in September 17, 2005, our 3rd May 28, 2006 and on September 30, 2006 Diva and I completed our 80th perfect day and more than 3,000 speed points to earn MACH 4. Diva has her own website, visit her there: www.machdiva.com. If you would like to see pictures of us practicing on the beach in Mazatlan, click here.
